Gardenia
The project of reforming a garden of a modern building of the 70’s , from its start was an architectural challenge and the beginning of various speculations. An existing, almost historical building, designed in the values of modernism, way ahead of its time. The brief consisted of vegitation, path, stasis, play. The existing plan, being the basis of the synthesis, was analyzed and in the end redetermined. columns which provide an intense perspective, were connected through their axis. A grid was formed which was the ground on which a new path was created. A path that forms a route through the gardens. The idea was to lead the pedestrian through an unorthodox route, in an urban experience that will evolve around the main axis. So a new path was designed, which leads the occupant from one garden to the opposite one, crossing the main axis diagonally.
